The Seller and Purchaser agree to the following conditions of this agreement: (1) This cat is not to be declawed. (2) Adequate indoor sanitary facilities must be provided. It is recommended that Scottish Folds are kept strictly indoors. (3) This cat is purchased as a:_____ Pet (altering required) Registered with: CFA (4) Seller will provide the following health guarantee: Seller warrants that this cat/kitten is presented in sound health and not harboring any diseases or parasites. Seller guarantees the general health of this cat/kitten for a period of five days on condition that it is properly cared for and quarantined. (5) Purchaser is advised to take this cat (at purchaser’s expense) to a veterinarian for a complete exam within 72 hours. This cat may be returned for a refund if a medical problem is found. Seller is not responsible for veterinary expenses. (6) If within 2 years this cat is found to have a fatal hereditary or congenital defect, seller will replace cat with another cat/kitten when seller receives proof of defect in the form of a complete autopsy report. Buyer is responsible for any medical expenses. (7) Purchaser agrees to care for this cat/kitten by providing adequate indoor facilities, to maintain proper nutrition, to get the cat/kitten normal yearly inoculations as recommended by a licensed veterinarian, and if deemed necessary, medical attention. (8) If the Purchaser cannot keep the cat or kitten for any reason, it is agreed that the Seller will be notified immediately and will have first right to re-home the cat/kitten. (9) If this is a folded ear cat/kitten, there is no guarantee as to the degree of fold it will maintain. Degree of fold may change due to age, heat cycles, stress and temperature. (10) Under no circumstances will this cat be sold, or given to a pet shop, research facility, a humane society or other rescue facility. Purchaser agrees that this kitten is not being bought with the intent for resale to a third party. (11) Cats/kittens purchased as household pets must be spayed/neutered by six months of age. Purchaser will provide Seller with proof of altering in the form of a dated receipt from a certified veterinarian that includes a description of the animal involved. If proof of altering is not received by Seller by the time the kitten is six months of age, Purchaser shall owe seller an additional $500 and no registration will be allowed on the kittens. Seller also reserves the right to repossess the cat if it is being used for a breeder and was sold as a pet. (12) Purchaser agrees that any violation of the terms of this contract may result in the surrender of said kitten, any registration/pedigree papers and to expect no reimbursement of purchase price, deposit or expenses incurred and may be subject to monetary damages to Seller. Purchaser agrees that any court/legal action will be filed in Worcester Country, Massachusetts and will assume responsibility for court costs.
A deposit of $100.00 will hold this cat/kitten until it is twelve weeks of age. Please fill in the above information, sign the form, keep one copy for your records and mail a signed copy back to me. Balance to be paid in full, including shipping costs prior to shipping via money order or cashiers check. Purchaser’s signature indicates that he/she has reviewed contract with Seller prior to purchasing said cat/kitten and is in full agreement to the above terms and conditions.
